Tigers play host to 'Dig Pink' match tonight

Volleyball fans will get an opportunity to see one of the most successful college programs in the country and help in the fight against breast cancer at the same time when Colorado College teams up with the Side-Out Foundation for CC's first annual 'Dig Pink' event tonight at Reid Gymnasium.

In addition to the match against Colorado Christian University, there will be a raffle, give-aways and an autograph session with the Tigers. CC's award-winning Acappella group 'Back Row' and the Tiger Eyes dance team also will perform.

In lieu of charging admission, the volleyball program will accept donations at the door.

Colorado College is 23-9 overall and riding a four-match winning streak, which includes a victory over then-No. 7 Trinity University on Oct. 18. The Tigers have two regular-season matches remaining before traveling to Rhodes College for the 2008 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament.

CC expects to earn its 11th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance when the field is announced on Nov. 9.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the Tigers invite all volleyball fans to participate by wearing pink and packing Reid Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
