Tim Taylor, who has more than 18 years coaching experience at the Division II, III and high school levels, has been named offensive coordinator at Colorado College, head coach Bob Bodor announced today. Taylor will succeed Max Hawsey, who left CC to become head coach at Grinnell College.
“We hired a very hard working and dedicated football coach,” Bodor said. “Football and education are important parts of Coach Taylor's life. Tim has been successful at the college and high school levels as a coach and a player, his experience and talent as an offensive coordinator is a perfect fit for Colorado College and the SCAC.”
Taylor was the offensive coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls during the 2003 and 2004 seasons and at Clark-Atlanta University in 2002.
Prior to that, he spent 15 years at the high school level where he served as head coach, offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator, in addition to coaching nearly every position.
Taylor earned football scholarships at both Georgia Tech and Carson-Newman University, where he was a member of the 1984 national championship team. He graduated Cum Laude from Valdosta State University in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in English.
