The Colorado College Water Polo team ended its season with an eighth-place finish at the Collegiate Division III Championships, falling to host Connecticut College 8-6 in the seventh-place game on Sunday.
The Tigers took a 6-5 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Camels managed three goals in the final period while holding the Tigers scoreless. Anna Jackson scored four goals for the Tigers, and Kat McIntosh added the other two.
Jackson was an honorable-mention slection on the all-tournament team.
CC lost all three of their preliminary games at the Championships, to CSU-East Bay, Cal Lutheran, and Grove City, then dropped another close game to rival Carthage College, 8-7, to fall to the seventh-place game.
Despite a 6-17-1 overall record, CC had one of their most successful seasons, with a best-ever second-place finish in the Midwest Regionals, and their first appearance in the national tournament.
