The Adams State College junior varsity team placed five runners in the top 10 to finish with 23 points and run away with the team title in the 8K race. Garden City Community College took second place with 56, followed by CC with 78. Division I Northern Colorado was fourth with 100 points.

 

Jackson Brainerd finished 11th in a time of 27:49 to pace the Tigers. Andrew Wagner was a fraction of a second behind in 12th, while Dan Kraft was 14th in a time of 28:06.   

 

Max Gerken claimed 18th in a time of 29:11, while David Wilder closed out CC's scoring with a 23rd-place finish in a time of 29:51.

 

Avancio Matrinez, an unattached runner, won the individual title in a time of 25:46. Adams State's Florian Theopile was the top collegiate runner with a time of 26:31.

 

Colorado College will be idle until Oct. 4 when the Tigers travel to the University of Colorado in Boulder for the 2008 Rocky Mountain Shootout.
