Still not fully recovered from injuries and illness, the Colorado College women's cross country team finished sixth at the 2009 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday at the Georgia International Horse Park.
Margot Cutter finished 23rd in a time of 25:30.11 to lead a trio of Tigers who finished just 13.18 apart. Megan Hurster's time of 25:42.01 was good for 25th place, just 1.28 seconds ahead of Maggie Harkins who finished in 26th place.
Nina Roumell (27:30.78) and Chelsea Herzog (27:48.84) rounded out CC's scoring by claiming 51st and 53rd place, respectively.
Lauren Reich won the individual title in a time of 22:12.46, leading DePauw to a two-point win over Rhodes. DePauw finished with 33 points, followed by Rhodes (35), Hendrix (82), Centre (123), Trinity (145) and Colorado College (160).
The Tigers will have two more weeks to get healthy before they return to action on Nov. 14 at the NCAA West Region meet at Claremont, Calif.
