Colorado College turned in another impressive performance against Division II competition despite coming out on the short end of a 158-97 score against the Colorado School of Mines.
Jordan DeGayner recorded three of the Tigers' five victories, taking the 100- and 200-yard freestyles and 100 butterfly.
DeGayner won the 100 free by 2.68 seconds in a time of 48.36 and the 200 by 2.31 seconds with a mark of 1:45.65. He took the 100 fly by a commanding 4.35 seconds.
Tom Grossinger won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:14.43 and nearly took first place in the 100, but ended up in third just .20 behind CSM's Elliott Feng.
CC's other victory was by Tyler Larrabee, who won the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:47.70.
Devin Wahl's time of 5:05.77 was good for second place in the 500 free, while Jack Ludwig claimed second in the 100 fly in a time of 57.33.
In the 100 backstroke, Jeff Nadel finished third by clocking in at 59.59.
Flynn McGuire gave CC a pair of fourth-place finished in the sprint frees. His time of 23.20 was only 1.02 behind the Mines' Jacob Dole, and he was only .88 seconds out of second place in the 100 free with a mark of 51.92.
Colorado College will participate in the “Hour of Power Relay,” a national fundraiser to raise money and awareness for sarcoma research, from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday night at CC's Schlessman Natatorium.
The Tigers' next meet is on Nov. 19 at Wheaton College.
