Colorado College suffered a pair of losses at the Pioneer Tournament in Utica, N.Y., on Saturday, falling to Brown University, 13-4, in the morning and to Connecticut College, 12-10, later in the afternoon.
CC, now 3-3 for the season, got a pair of goals from senior
Liz Weber in each game.
Weber and high-scoring junior
Karen Friefeld, however, both were ejected in the second half of Saturday's second contest, in which Connecticut avenged an 11-6 loss to the Tigers in Colorado Springs a week ago. Friefeld struck for a pair of tallies before being tossed in the third quarter.
Angela Dang also scored twice.
Freshman
Malia Vitousek was credited with three steals in addition to scoring a goal as Colorado College rallied to tie the match at 7-7 after three quarters. In its earlier game with Brown, CC fell behind 5-0 after one period and never was able to recover.
