Tigers suffer first loss at Colorado Mines

Colorado College dropped its first match of the season on Tuesday night, falling 25-12, 25-21, 25-23 at the Colorado School of Mines.
The Orediggers hit .395 as a team and used 11.5 blocked shots to hold the Tigers to a season-low .119 hitting percentage.
Freshman outside hitter Laura Goldsmith paced CC with 10 kills, while Emily Perkins and Meredith Ballard added eight apiece.
Elizabeth Serra-Hsu had a match-high 12 kills to lead CSM (8-2).
CC (5-1) returns to action this weekend when it plays host to the 2009 Molten Volleyball Colorado College Invitational. The Tigers face McMurry University and Stevens Institute of Technology on Friday, and then Keuka College and No. 14 University of Puget Sound on Saturday.
