Alyssa Aldaz knocked down a three-pointer with 1:07 remaining to snap a 71-71 tie as Colorado College posted a 76-71 victory over Rhodes College at Reid Gym on Sunday at Reid Gymnasium.

Becky Luetjen, who posted her third double-double of the season with 22 points and 13 rebounds, sealed the victory with a pair of free throws with four seconds to play as the Tigers improved to 10-5 overall and 4-3 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference.

The Lynx led for the final time at 62-60 when Sharwil Bell scored on a layup with 8:12 to go, but Emily Wattman-Turner scored seven points during an 11-4 run that gave CC a 71-66 lead when she nailed a three-pointer with 4:34 to go.

The Tigers, however, went 3:17 without scoring and the Lynx tied the game when Sarah Womack made a pair of free throws with 1:15 remaining.

Rhodes led 42-36 on a layup by Jenilee Pate 2:32 into the second half, but Collier Clegg had eight points during an 11-0 run that saw CC turn a six-point deficit into a five-point lead. Clegg finished with a game-high 23 points and a season-best eight rebounds.

Clegg shot 8-for-18 from the field, including 4-for-7 from behind the arc to tie her season high. She also made all three of her free throws.

The visiting Lynx were paced by Becky Atnip’s 17 points, eight of them coming on charity tosses, and Bell’s 16. Becca Clarin and Pate added 13 points and nine rebounds apiece for Rhodes, which dropped to 9-6 overall and 2-4 in the SCAC.

Colorado College travels to Sewanee and Oglethorpe University next Friday and Sunday, respectively.
