Nicole Fazio and
Andrea Wang combined for 17 points on the 3-meter board in the first event of the women's competition at the 2010 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships.
That performance helped the Tigers conclude the day locked in a four-way battle for fourth place with 105 points. Trinity University is on top of the women's standings with 320, followed by DePauw University (262.5) and Centre College (200). Rhodes College is fourth with 138.5 points, just ahead of Hendrix College and Sewanee with 109.

Wang finished 12th overall with a total of 223.70 points, which put CC one point ahead of Austin College in the event.
The Tigers compiled their most points in the relays.
Whitney Petersen, Karen Rasmussen, Julia Rubinstein and Stephanie Locher finished fifth in the 400-yard medley relay by touching the wall in 4:13.06, which was just .74 seconds out of fourth.
Rasmussen teamed with Jean Fryefield, Anya Arndt, and Katie Burns to post a season-best time of 1:45.01 in the 200 freestyle relay, which was good for sixth place.
“There were so many outstanding splits on both the free and medley relays,” said head coach Anne Goodman James. “Our senior - Karen Rasmussen and Jean Fryefield - were impressive.”
CC's top individual finish was turned in by Carrie Markel, who claimed 10th in the 500 free with a season-best time of 5:19.03. Her mark was seventh-best overall, but she missed the 'A' finals by. 57 seconds.
Rubinstein set a season-best time in the preliminaries of the 50 free, touching the wall in 25.74.
“We had more than 20 lifetime best times today, and it was awesome to have freshman represent us in the 50 for both men and women,” Goodman James said. “We spent a lot of time this season focusing on our core strength, to try to make up for what wouldn't be enhanced by the current legal suits, and it is paying off.”
The four-day meet will continue on Friday with six swimming events and the men's 3-meter diving. Preliminaries start at 10:30 a.m. CT, while the finals begin at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Louisville's Ralph R. Wright Natatorium.
