Ohlsen nets Academic All-District honors

Junior forward Brady Ohlsen has received second-team all-district honors as part of the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-America program.

Ohlsen, who carries a 3.73 grade-point average as biochemistry major, is the first CC men's basketball player to earn all-district distinction since Matt Bahl in 2004.

Brady Ohlsen has been a consistent model of academic integrity and achievement for our student-athletes,” head coach Andy Partee said. “As a captain and top performer of our basketball team, we are proud to share this honor with him and The Colorado College community.”

He leads the SCAC with a .590 field goal percentage, is second in blocked shots averaging 1.9 per game, is sixth in rebounding at 7.2 per game and 10th in scoring at 13.8 points per game.

Ohlsen leads CC in rebounding and blocks, is second in scoring and third in assists at 1.6 per contest.

He has posted team highs in rebounds 12 times this season, in scoring four times and in assists twice.

Ohlsen has three double-doubles (points-rebounds) so far this campaign, leading the Tigers to victories in each of those games.

In less then three full seasons, he already ranks No. 16 on the program's all-time charts with 484 career rebounds, No. 22 with 853 points, and is tied for No. 26 with 101 assists.

Colorado College is 11-8 overall and third in the SCAC's Western Division with a 6-5 record. The Tigers travel to Austin College on Saturday to face the first-place Kangaroos.
