Colorado College won for the third time in its last four matches by defeating the College of Idaho, 7-1, on Sunday afternoon at the Burghardt Tennis Courts.

Nate Burt, Lionel Zen-Ruffinen, Will Lindsay and Zach White recorded two points apiece as the Tigers ran their record to 6-0 in matches where they led after doubles play.

Burt and Zen-Ruffinen combined for an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles, and then posted straight-set wins in singles competition. Burt prevailed 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while Zen-Ruffinen prevailed 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3.

Lindsay and White pulled out an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles to give CC the early lead. Lindsay notched his fourth consecutive singles victory by a 6-4, 6-4 count at No. 5 singles, while White was impressive during a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at No. 6

Evan Jonker won for the fourth time in his last six individual matches and improved to 7-6 on the season with a 6-2, 6-1 triumph at No. 2 singles.

The Tigers improved to 7-8 and hope to carry that momentum into next week's matches at the Rhodes College Invitational.

“After taking the 2-1 advantage in doubles, we competed well down the line in singles to wrap up the match,” head coach Naren Clark said. “We earned some much needed confidence before heading to Memphis.”

In addition to the host Lynx, CC also faces Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference rivals Austin College, Hendrix College, Oglethorpe University in matches that will help determine the seeding for the conference championships a week later in North Little Rock, Ark.
