The Southern Collegiate Athletic Association has honored a dozen members of the CC women's track and field team for their contributions in the classroom.

Named the SCAC's Academic Honor Roll for the 2010 spring term on Friday were Hannah Concannon, Margaret Harkins, Georgia Ivsin, Brittney Moore, Devin Nader, Laura Newcomb, Nina Roumell, Jessica Steinsiek, Louisa Tur, Mary Wang, Hannah Wear and Charis Whitnah.

To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of her team in a sport sponsored by the conference.

Eleven members of the CC men's team also received similar accolades.
