Ryan Milne earned Player of the Week honors from the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference for the second time this season after leading Colorado College to league victories over Centre College and Sewanee last weekend.
Milne averaged 23.5 points and 4.5 assists per game to help the Tigers climb back into second place in the SCAC's West Division with a 5-2 record.
The sophomore point guard poured in a season-high 26 points, making 9 of 18 shots from the floor as well as 5 of 10 from three-point range, during Friday's 62-57 victory over the Colonels.
In Sunday's 68-60 triumph against Sewanee, Milne scored 21 points and dished out seven assists. With CC nursing a two-point lead with 1:34 to play, he nailed a 3-pointer and went 4-for-4 from the free throw line to cement the victory.
The Phoenix native reached the 20-point mark for the sixth and seventh times this season.
Milne, the reigning SCAC Newcomer of the Year, currently leads the conference in assists per game (4.9) and minutes played (38.1), and is second in scoring (17.0).
The SCAC weekly award is the third of his career.
Colorado College (8-6) travels to Millsaps College and Rhodes College this Friday and Sunday, respectively.
