DeGayner named SCAC Swimmer of the Week

Senior Jordan DeGayner was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week for his record-breaking performances at last weekend's Colorado College Classic.

DeGayner won all three of his individual events while leading the Tigers to a second-place team finish. During Saturday morning's preliminaries, CC's All-American set pool records in the 200- (1:43:03) and 100 yard freestyles (46.17). DeGayner won both finals later that night.

On Sunday, the reigning SCAC Swimmer of the Year finished first in the 50 free with a season-best time of 21.20.

In the final event of the meet, DeGayner swam the anchor leg in the 200 free relay and helped the Tigers post the team's top time of the season at 1:27.88.

The SCAC weekly award is DeGayner's second of the year and fifth of his career.

Colorado College concludes its home schedule this Friday and Saturday when McMurry University visits Schlessman Natatorium for a pair of dual meets.
