With Colorado College practice sessions less than a month away, the World Arena finished installing new ice this week as preparations for the
2012-13 hockey season slipped into high gear.
Team captain
William Rapuzzi, along with elected alternates
Joe Marciano,
Eamonn McDermott and
Rylan Schwartz, will supervise early skating sessions when the Tigers skate without coaches starting Sept. 10.
CC's exhibition opener against the University of British Columbia is scheduled for 6:07 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, barely 24 hours after the first official "practice" a day earlier with head coach Scott Owens and his staff on the ice.
Clarkson University visits the CSWA the following weekend for a two-game, non-conference series on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 12-13, that counts in the record books and launches the Tigers' final campaign as a member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association. They begin WCHA play with a Nov. 2-3 set at the University of Wisconsin before returning home to play nine of their next 10 games at the World Arena.
