Rick Swan
Camp Director

Colorado College Head Coach Rick Swan is the director of the Colorado College volleyball camps. In 12 seasons at Colorado College, Swan, the all-time winningest coach (269-117) in the program's history, has led his teams to 12 consecutive NCAA appearances, including the program's first West Region title and trip to the Elite 8 in 2009. Before coming to Colorado College, Swan spent five years as head coach at St. Mary’s High School in Colorado Springs. His overall record of 131-17 at St. Mary’s included a 3A State Championship 1996. Swan has been coaching and playing the game of volleyball for more than 25 years and has extensive experience in teaching the game of volleyball to young players. Swan coached Club Stellar 12-Under team that won the Colorado Crossroads National Qualifier in’ 07 and qualified for nationals in their first two seasons. He also is co-owner of The Volleyball Shack.

Assistant Camp Directors

Colorado College assistant coaches Stephanie Shalosky and Wayne Wetherby will be assistant directors at the camp. One of the most recognized names in Front Range volleyball, Shalosky is in her second season as an assistant coach at CC. She was a record-setting setter at cross-town rival University of Colorado at Colorado Springs from 1998 through 2001 and later served as an assistant coach with the Mountain Lions (2004-08). Wetherby has coached volleyball at the high school and club levels for the past 19 years. CC Assistant Coach Carrick Patterson will also be at the camp and has coached and played competitively for the past 18 years. Their experience and ability to teach volleyball to young players has brought much success to the programs with which they have been involved.

Additional Staff

Current Colorado College players, “Big House Joe”, high school and club coaches, and other local college players will complete the camp staff.
