Colorado College Men's Lacrosse History

Program History

Lacrosse at Colorado College was founded in 1964 by the late Dr. Robert "Doc" Stabler, who coached the team for many years afterward. In 33 seasons the Tigers have played nearly 500 games against varsity-level competition. Now an NCAA Division III independent, CC claimed six league championships (1966, '76, '90, '94, ‘95 and '96) while a member of the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.

Throughout the years, the sport not only has evolved into a stable program at the College, but has developed a winning tradition as well. As the only NCAA Division III team in their region, the Tigers feel that they can compete against any team in the state in addition to other Division III powers from around the nation.
