Matt Kennedy was named the Associate Director of Athletic Communications & Social Media at Colorado College in October of 2023.
Kennedy, a proud product of Colorado Springs and Doherty High School, played collegiate rugby for Colorado Mesa University, where he graduated in 2020 with a degree in Mass Communications & Media Strategies. Following graduation, he served as the Advanced Media Assistant for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference during the 2020-21 athletic seasons. With the RMAC, Kennedy was a primary media contact for the conference and managed the social media accounts.
Also, before his time at CC, Kennedy was a sports information assistant for Colorado Mesa University, assisting in game-day broadcasts, commentary, and feature writing. During 2023, He was in a similar role at Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, Georgia for the TMU softball, baseball, and basketball programs.Â
In his current role at CC, Kennedy manages the communication duties and responsibilities for the Division I women's soccer program, as well as the men's soccer, men's and women's basketball and men's and women's lacrosse programs. Kennedy also coordinates the social media accounts for CC athletics, including DI women's soccer and ice hockey.
